DIY Making your own TINTED Moisturizer

I'll tell you a little story...

once upon a time a little girl went to the store, in hope of find a tinted moisturizer that matched her skin color. But little did she know she was in for a surprises. She skipped though the store all happy and cheerful, and she jumped for joy when she saw what she needed. Bring it back home she tried it out on her skin, but to her shock! Her skin! Her pretty skin! Was no longer what it use to be, it became 2x darker and clashed horribly with the rest of her skin. Crazy with anger... she went and blew up the store...

The end.

As you can see am horrible at story telling... but true story for me... up in till the point where the store blew up.

So in desperation the spur of the moment a new Tutorial popped up :D

The Title says all ~

Ingredients:
-Facial Moisturizer (spf 15+)
-Your Foundation (cream, liquid, or powder form. for my first batch a used a sealing power)
- A container
- A brush

Steps:
-Squirt your desired amount of lotion into your container (REMEMBER: This will only have a lifespan of about 2 weeks -- it will dry up so make sure you tighten the cap of the container really tight)
- Add you foundation (REMEMBER: 2 to 1 ratio 2 being lotion and 1 being foundation. Also .. the more foundation you put the more the coverage and vice versa)
- Mix it up well
- And BAM! your Tinted moisturizer

REMEMBER: store in a cool and place. keep the cap closed at all times. 2 week life span.

It's Finals Time!

It's Finals Time!

It's that time of the year again.. (well at least for Americans). The Finals for the 1st semester has begun! The horrid all nighter's and crazy cravings has made you break out all over you face!

Photobucket

Tips to fight cravings:
*Rather than gum suck on HARD candy .. anything from cough drops to mints. (gum makes the body thinks it's taking in food. there fore making you more hungry)

*Take in 5 small meals a day rather than 3 large ones.

*Take in a good amount of sleep. Not getting enough sleep actually increases your hunger and appetite

*Takes in small amount of nuts or non-fat dairy. They are good for a energy boost !

*stay away from sugar.

*When you eat. Eat slowly even if your extremely hungry, eating fast makes it easier for you to over eat.

Breaking Out:
Acne conquered face during final huh? Theses acne could be cause by a lot of things; lack of facial care, stress, not enough time to cook so you eat fast food, getting sick etc.

THINGS YOU CAN DO:

*start taking multi-vitamins. It'll help keep you strong and healthy

*Takes breaks every now or then. (do something like going for a walk)

*spot treatments for you acne

*before you study why not put on a mask? That way your killing two birds with one stone (suggetion: aspring mask or a white tea mask)

*Get enough sleep. Sleep depravvation -> stress -> acne

* Try taking it one step at a time. meaning...: think about what you have today before rusing off to tomorrow. chances are you going to freak your self out from all the test. =D

*if you are in a rush in the morning; rather than whipping out your facial wash, try washing your wash with a wash cloth instead and save your facial washes for the night. (something to look forward to when coming home)

*moisturize! there is no substitute for it! Change to oil free during finals week (or how ever long it is)

*eat home cook meals. (even a salad with ranch dressing is much healthier than mcdonals!)

Tips for taking the test:

*relax... relax... relax... it's going to be over soon =D

*skip over question, don't spend to much time on one! (chances are teacher incorporate question that corresponds with the question you didn't get!)

*Bite on mints: they help you thinks

*eliminate stupid answers

Enjoy and good luck!

Aloe Vera is a great and inexpensive way to treat your body and skin!

aspirin mask revamp (less watery version)

aspirin mask revamp

(acne , oily skin or combo skin)

If you are really into facial care.. am sure that you've at least heard of the aspirin mask! =D

I find that the aspirin mask is great for making you skin smooth and soft while helping control oil on your face.

The first time i tried it ... i had to hold a towel under my face while i waited for time to pass. =(

So i decided to experiment with it, to make a less watery version! =D

Ingredients:
- 3-4 aspirins.
- a tablespoon of honey.
- water (we will only need a few drops)
-microwave

Directions:

Place your aspirins in a microwavable cup.

Add a few drops of water (enough to cover aspirins) and wait for it to dissolve.

Add Honey

Mix well

Pop into microwave for about 10 seconds.

Take out your cup and set aside.

Wait in till the honey is thick and has cooled slightly.

Apply to face.

Play the waiting game for 20 minutes.

Wash off with cold water.

And follow with your moisturizing routine.

and ta-da were done!

And face is extremely smooth now ^^

Enjoy

-Mei.

Note:
Honey will open your pores.
Cold water at the end will close them.

What to buy?! Where to start!? Make up Bloggers!

Like my last post i gave you many different blogger on skin care. This time is make up! So around teenage years... girls decide to wear make up.

When you first start it's overwhelming! You have question like: What is this for?, how do i put that on? What brands are the best? or I'm on a tight budget so what can i use for cheap but still be able to get high quality!?

So ... the paragraph made little to no sense is not what you looking for!

I present you another problem among mostly Asian girls. Asian are usually know for there small eyes.. which is usually caused by Mono lids. This makes it harder to apply eye make up like eyeshadow and eye liner without the crease line to follow.
